this is my first post of many i can imagine to my countless followers... i'll save you the introduction and get straight into it.
i've seen the way people change over time and it still gets to me that we could be all born the 'same' but grow up differently.
that something inside you or in your surroundings makes you act a certain way around your peers or yourself.
and what really gets to me is, when you try to find yourself, people don't want to know you anymore.
it's pathetic that you could be friends with someone one day and not the next just because they decide to change the way they dress or put a ring through their lip.
are the people who move away scared of change or do they simply think that they can't be friends with someone who doesn't meet their standards or morals?
you know a true friend when you experience a change and they stick by you.
they are the courageous ones and i simply wouldn't want to be friends with someone who judged me by the way i dressed or the way i looked.
i remember walking with my sister in the city and she started telling me about a fight she saw between the 'metro's' and the 'emo's'.
1. i can't stand stereotyping, especially people who stereotype themselves. (that's for another time)
2. people fight based on the way they dress is all a bit ridiculous?
it may not be a perfect world but the least we can do is be nice to each other.
so when i decide to put a ring through my nose, does this mean i lose friends?
in a perfect world the answer is no. but it's the inevitable.
